Are you using restmode?

I’m old school, I rarely use rest mode while farming solo xp.

I’ve never got a toon past 72, and my current mag is currently 68.

I’m trying to keep steady flow of light blue, balancing my nukes with pet health. Quite often I let pet regen to full, but very rarely get into rest mode myself.

I haven’t parsed it, but I don’t think nuking 15 mobs quickly and then med to full is any faster?

I’m also aware that this might change by level...

But what is your strategy?

It depends on where you are fighting.

If you're doing L-blue older world stuff, you can pretty much kill non stop without ever sitting down to go ooc regen. However, if you are doing the newer content of non trivial mobs, your pet just can't stand there and take a beating all day. You need to get that mob dead asap, so you burn it to the ground and move to your next target. You then use ooc regen to med back up once you get low on mana.

yeah, get stuff dead asap and burn down your mana and med it to full using ooc.

kill the biggest stuff that you can.
