As I read pretty much everything posted, and I can recall nothing offensive from Pie, I don't see how there could be a standard he violated. You may not agree with his opinion or like that he is blunt about presenting it, but those things can't be covered by a standard unless you are wanting ...

A) Elemental Union after Fire Core ends if the fight is still going (or you are discussing theoretical maximums)...but that could change depending on tactics. Some fight you might do an early burn and then a later one, and you would want to use Fire Core on the one that is supposed to be the heavier ...

If you like to quest, do them.
If you want to max achievements, do them.
If you want a status symbol, albeit one not as big as it once was, do them.
If, however, all you care about is a weapon that is currently useful, then there is no point to ...
