How do you handle Enchanter haze procs?
For those not aware, enchanters have this thing now where they can proc a very short term buff in our song window that causes the next damage spell we cast to be amplified in damage. If it is a spell like Spear, it can reach well over 800k in damage in a perfect situation. This buff, which is in the...

Making a case for 1h/shield in TDS?
So it is well known amongst the majority of raid magicians that 2h weapons provide more DPS than 1h/shield combo. The proc on 2h is generally a DD which adds damage, the amount of SD is a little higher, and staff block has been parsed to block better than shield block. In TDS, mob hit points have ri...

Re: Here is what pets look like post-nerf...
Something does not seem right. There has to be some sort of difference between EM levels. I am not suggesting an extreme difference like 35% or anything, but the difference between 6292 and 6311is 0.31%. That, in my opinion, is not acceptable. I do not want a grouper vs raider debate, but 0.31% is n...

Re: New BP Ideas
If we are getting a spell boost clickie, I prefer either it boosting rains or spear. Bolt is rarely used.
I would like a pet mitigation disc on robe, maybe similar to what monks have. With upcoming pet mitigation changes, this would allow us to help with tanking for a short period of time...

Re: New BP Ideas
I don't have an issue with Relentless Servant duration extended as a focus effect. As far as the clickie, I prefer something either an offensive improvement for the pet (similar to Frenzied Burnout) or a defensive stance in wake of the incoming pet defensive changes.

Re: Anyone know about the pet heal upgrades?
Here is the thing, at least for myself. I know I probably will be in the minority, but I digress... I know our pets are pretty powerful. I actually do not have that big of an issue with some small weaknesses placed on us... (here is the key) provided I can still do the same exact things then that I ...

Anyone know about the pet heal upgrades?
Or more specifically... are we going to have to fundamentally change how we play our class in a solo/molo capacity? The rumor on the street is because of these pet heal increases (which I have no idea BTW how much of an increase it is) that pets can only be healed by their owners now- not mercs, not...

Re: The nerf thread closed
Warrior starts public thread, showcasing data about pet mitigation. Even titles thread Pet Mitigation. Thread blows up, lots of threats and accusations and agendas thrown about. Class envy and class jealousy comments abound. Heated arguments and verbal slings from every direction. Thread is closed a...

Re: The nerf thread closed
Not everyone can be the best at everything. Magicians are behind wizards in burst DPS. Magicians are behind necromancers on sustained DPS as well as sustained mana regeneration. A magician fire pet is not as strong of a tank as a magician earth pet. The point is: someone is going to finish first, ot...

Re: The nerf thread closed
Warriors have "issues" with pet mitigation and scream about an "unfair imbalance" at the top of their lungs. However when you ask a warrior about the imbalance within their own class with regards to 1h/shield, dual wield, and 2h DPS output... All of a sudden they lift their nose ...
