Re: GamSettingsMover v1 - A tool to move settings after server m
Further updated the program: * Updated the program to handle upper and lower case correctly. The new version is available on the download link in the opening post. As you would already know, the server merges are happening right now, so you will want to have your settings files ready for when you lo...

Re: Parse help
I hate the distance thing also, as it kills parses all the time. Either a caster too far from the mob, or a melee too far from the DoT casters, both ways you miss out. I would expect the simplest solution for Sony to address this would be to simply extend the range of the messages, likely up to 4 ti...

Re: Parse help
Test it out, go somewhere that your pet can tank the mob without killing it too fast, have a friend stay close to the mob when you send the pet in. Try one when you move away after you send in the pet, and a second where you stay close to the mob, which should tell you if range matters or not.

Re: Parse help
Are all your pets linked correctly? Check your DPS in the bottom section of the Overview where it splits out your pets, do they all show up. Maybe you need to re-link your pet ("/pet leader" on your pet) or manually link it for an older parse. Otherwise, I think it is kind of strange to be...

Re: GamSettingsMover v1 - A tool to move settings after server m
Updated the program to make it even easier: * Displays an Ok/Cancel dialog with file size and date stamp before overwriting anything * Displays confirmation of the files copied once completed * Greys out the copy button after a successful copy so you don't accidentally copy twice * Added in extra lo...

Re: GamSettingsMover v1 - A tool to move settings after server m
I don't know what the GN file is. I just know it is created with your character and server name sometimes, so I brought it across while doing the others just in case.

Re: GamSettingsMover v1 - A tool to move settings after server m
Confirmation always, or only if you are about to overwrite a file? I did consider making it show red text for any time you were going to overwrite a setting, sort of like the red text you see when you set the servers the same and the character name the same. I also didn't worry about recording the d...

GamSettingsMover v1 - A tool to move settings after server m
I have seen plenty of conversations about how people are going to keep their settings after the server merges occur shortly. To make the process easier for those users that aren't comfortable with copying and renaming files, I built a tool to simplify the process greatly. Just select the directory (...

Re: Parsing on Test
When you link your pet, as commented with a siphon or /pet leader it links the pet to you. If you load the complete file again (without closing GamParse) it will keep the pet linked, so all your past information will visible again now it sees a pet that it recognises. The time out is also important ...

Re: Parsing on Test
GamParse needs to work out who is an enemy and who is a friend so it can build each fight. Just do a "/pet leader" or a spell from the syphon line to link your pet to you, and then you will be able to track fights. Normally when playing, a player will attack, and GamParse keeps track of al...
