That's not an issue of synergism or not. Mages aren't doing 60k because the devs didn't want us doing 60k. There isn't some magic button the devs can push that will suddenly make other classes boost us more. Asking to be reliant on other classes for our max dps doesn't mean we'll do more, it means w...

That's not a good thing you know. Melee are cursed by the fact they need X, Y, and Z support classes to push their full potential. Be thankful you aren't in that situation.

They won't boost pet DPS because it's essentially free. You don't even have to worry about positioning the pet most of the time, it's just send pet and forget. They want us to work for our DPS.

The only 'pure' ac is from shields. (Possibly the AAs that give +AC too, but not 100% sure on that). I disagree though even in the group game. Even soloing I rarely get hit. HP without a doubt. AC won't save you against spell damage, which is 99% of the damage mages take at the mid-high end. Combined with the fact that a) the return on AC for silkies is small, and b) most mobs hit so hard and so frequently you're dead anyway, AC has very little value.

Wouldn't even mention the lifeburn suggestion. The majority of mages are against pet sacrifice, so why risk going down that road?
