Re: host of the elements

They allow you to get more out of "of many" line if your raid is short on pets. That's the extent of their usefulness these days. Most times I don't even bother casting them.

Re: Plane of Shadow - Beaming.

I did a little bit of it back in the TSS days in Icefall I think it was, but that didn't last long. I'm with you.

Re: Plane of Shadow - Beaming.

In groups with an SK pulling it's not that difficult. SK pulls, rounds up mobs, keeps aggro and mage beams. Solo is a different story and involves kiting at full speed. You need a good computer and a strong connection to pull it off as it often lags out the zone depending on how many you pull. Under...

Re: Returning Player: Mage vs Necro?

I plan on rerolling a new character so I can relearn the game and also have the enjoyment from playing from the beginning all over again. Im kinda leaning towards either a Mage of Necro. I heard Necro isnt really as AA dependent as Hybrids and Tanks which is nice. Id like to actually feel powerful ...

Re: Our AA burn discs in conjunction with other classes

I wouldn't actively go after the augs you have but I do like your setup. SD isn't the end all be all of augs I look for myself. I like a good balance. :)

Re: Buffs/Burn: Raid

I've never broken 100K either, but I'm cool with that. My guild is low dps so all our fights are over 5 mins long. I did sustain slightly better than 70K dps for 10 mins though; my best for such a long fight. I lag quite a bit sometimes. Happens when you have a 9 year old computer. I'll be building ...

Re: Pet damage cap ignoring Rathe line?

At lvl 90, you are more than likely using Burnout IX which has a 14% "All Skills Dmg Modifier". So with AD, you are only getting a 1% increase to your main pet. If you are using Burnout IX Rk2, then you wont see a difference at all since they have the exact same modifier. The main benefit ...

Re: Lots of questions about AA, Spell Weave and Pet Defenses

Let me try and answer all the ones I can. For grouping, my weave is: RS, Rain, Rain, Fickle, Spear. You should always lead with RS. You are hamstringing yourself if you're waiting on GoM procs. Unless you are the only dps in your group your mana should hold up relatively well. I nuke hard to under 2...
