Sometimes you may be want your pet to stop hitting a mob so causing no damage but you also want to keep the mob hitting on the pet.

Former times you could do a pet hold and pet stood there and took the beating.

This wont work any more also, What i tried and seems to work so far is

/pet guard
/pet regroup

or anyone has a better idea on that case ?

My pet is always on hold. So all i do is back it off. If i want it to stay there and get beat on, guard and back off is what is do.

In general, either solo or in group i make a camp and park the pet there so guard isn't needed, its already guarding.

I just tell my pet to STOP (click the "Stop" button in pet window) when I want it to stand there. Then select it again when I wish to have it resume attacking, e.g. Enrage is over.

Make the key using the following text:

/pet regroup on
/pet back off

You would have no problems.
