Sony Station Launcher and EQ files

Post by Optamos »

Hi there,

I came back to EQ this past weekend. I downloaded and installed EQ via the Sony Station Launcher, and everything works and runs great. The only problem is I can't find where my EQ files are! I've looked in the Sony folder and in the Station folder to no avail. Does anyone know where the files are stored by any chance? I would have used the default location.

The main reason I want to know is because I'm trying to add the map packs (from mapfiend), but I need to put them in my EQ maps folder. Thanks in advance for any help.

Mine went to C:\Program files (x86)\Sony Online Entertainment\installed Games\Everquest

Did you try to run a search with "eqmap" ? (At work atm so cant check the name of the file but iirc its eqmap)

I tried doing a file search of my C drive for eqclient and it didn't find anything. I'll double check the location you suggested when I get home this evening.

I've also posted this question on the EQ Support Forums, so we'll see what they say as well (assuming I get any response over there). Thanks!

Try rightclick on the eq-Icon and than "properties". There you may find the path where the program is located (atleast the launcher).

There is a way to see where the files are located via the Launcher (which I discovered via the EQ Tech Support Forums). However, when I looked for the folder the game was supposed to reside in, there was no such folder (maybe it was hidden?). However, the Launcher gives you the option to change the location of the game files, which I made use of and was able to get my maps installed at last!

Thanks for the help, everybody.
