Haven't logged on since the patch, so have a question. Does this AA still work even after you have cast a detrimental spell on the mob(s)?

Yes, this is a fade for the pet as well as the caster. Assuming you're not in aggro range of any mobs and your pet is still alive this will completely remove you and your pet from the mobs hate list. You can cast this and go have a taco or something without worries of the mob coming and whapping you. It doesn't wipe the mob from your pet's hate list, so if you don't control your pet properly it can also re-aggro the mob(s) in question.

Be careful of your mercs, btw.

I have to say this is a very nice addition to our arsenal, but not too overpowered imo. I've used this both to split up some mobs for easier single pulls as well as to shed aggro on a raid so I can go crazy burn without fear (not that it was ever much of a fear). I've also had a pet die and then I look at that button and go "hmmm, well crap" and had to run around in circles until CoN could do its thing. It's not overpowered in ease of use since you need both a living pet and some distance, the recast is long enough that it doesn't make us overpowered pullers, but in the right situations it's incredibly useful.
Big thumbs up in my book.

I'm a big fan.
You have to know what you're doing to get it right, and there is an element of uncertainty involved. I've splatted a few times. But it really is a great tool for the "situational" toolbox.

I tweaked the hotkey I made for it to be a little more safe;
/pet stop
/stance passive (so the merc doesn't bone me)
/pause 12,/alt activate 8341
/pet back off
/alt activate 3812
If you like it, keep it. If not, send it right on back.

I have a question, i won't be on till tomorrow to test myself but..
You, pet and likely merc have aggro.
now if you and pet come out of aggro but not the merc. Even if the merc heals you or pet, a heal will not transfer aggro from the healer to the healee, as far as i know (i've been wrong before). Is passive needed?
