WTH is a crown and how do you get them?

Crowns are from the loyalty program thing they just started. You get some automagically each week based on how long your account has been active.

There are only a few really useful items from the list. There are some fairly nice earring items (including the EM 4 earring), a unattuner potion that makes an attuned item attunable again (and thus tradeable), a plethora of nice stat food, some faction potions for older factions, and bags of various currencies (orux, doubloons, plat, faycitum, etc).

I think the most commonly used will be the bag-o-plat since it's around 110 crowns and gives 13K-15K plat. I don't know about others, but I started with around 3K crowns, so that's a lot of plat I can buy! The food is also pretty cheap (4 crowns each) and has some pretty decent stats (~70 HME, and the Grapes of Wrath have +4 spell damage) and lasts for 2 hours.

Ahhh cool. For the last few weeks all I've had time to do is log in, buff up, raid and log out. Haven't even looked at anything else.
