Running? I hate running and casting. What happens to me alot is I can't just stop then cast. I usually have to wait about half a second or a second THEN cast because funky lag makes me fail so much. You could try that as someone mentioned that casting while moving gives you the fail message but locks out the ability. Can't tell you how many times I've died casting invis because it failed due to the server thinking I'm still moving /sigh

I know you're trying to be helpful, but believe me, i've been over it a dozen times, it definitely cast

Yeah, just making sure you had all the scenarios. Something at some point is doing something but it's extremely hard to pin down but I'm putting money on some sort of lag / tic issue with the server.

Well now that everyone is trying to make these fancy hotkeys to get this ability to work, the question is, have you really found a use for it?
For example, let's say I'm soloing in Zeka and accidently pull 3 mobs, I hit Companion of Necessity to fix that.
What does this new ability do for me?

/pet stop
/pet target
/pause 12,/alt activate 8341
/pet back off
/alt activate 3812
Drops hatelisted mobs
targets pet
casts drape
backs pet off
casts group invis
No need to worry about targeting pet, Very quick. Flawless every time.
I've adopted this one (minus the /pet target) and I've yet to see it fail. Thanks Dani

If you replace 3 by .. say 5 CoN won't be of much help. I've also started to get summoned of late (happened twice this week with my regular tank). Guess the new crit AAs adds aggro. Helps there too, when you want everyone to keep their aggro but want to lose yours.
It has also helped in that i don't need to die and have the rogue drag me to get to tough to get to sections for CoTH.
Uses i found so far..

I normally use the Worlu's Windcloak for that situation. I keep spares on other characters too. But it's certainly a possibility, just not sure if me training mobs towards a camp and then trying out this new key is the best way to test it. Will be splat time if something doesn't go right.

Yeah, i try to keep a cloak on me too but the situation i'm thinking of is when no one is at camp, i'll run there, use drape and then CoTH the group. Old way was have the tank switch to his rogue, i die he drags me and pops merc once there to rez and then he switches back for CoTH.
It has yet to fail but if it does i'd still be at the same point, death + merc rez anyways. This way i have a good chance i won't die hehe.

How do you keep far ahead of the aggro'd mobs that you can stop wait a second for the server to catch up, then cast the 1 second fade then invis and still be out of aggro range?
Unless your managing to find a corner to duck around?

It hasn't been a problem so far. Last time was Foundation, ran to the safe tunnel to the west. With Run5, lev ... run, get in and stop, turn on myself to make sure i'm stoped and hit fade.
Mind you i don't use this daily, there are very few places that this is needed. It's far from a "OMG this is Uberz" AA but it a nice little addition to what we can do.
