one good thing about bards also is their mana regen song.i forgot the name but it give a good mana boost,if u want to cast more servant line pets.there are so many choices who would fit mage /shm or whatever.
i so like mage / shm that i would make shm / mage / mage .

i was in a group once with 5 mage air pets and me shm,poor mobs were so stuned that i only had to cast HOT on main pet (other one were no taunt ) was so easy kills and good dps

Blackmist, it is realatively easy to get lower end pet focuses now adays with being able to buy bazaar gear with prob Enhanced minion 1 or 2 on it. If you had 2 air pets with Enhanced minion 2 on it you would be able to do a good amount of SoF like the Mech guard, zeka, beza and stuff like that for exp. All it really takes is going on allakhazam and finding a pet focus you can solo and going out and getting it. Once you do that all you need is some mana and pet defensive AAs and you will be golden.

You will also be able to do some SoD I would imagine, i dont know for sure though, because I started SoD with EM 4. But with slows, 2 air pets, 3 healers much of the stuff will drop easily.

EM5 from underquary from envoy findar named (don't need a flag ,can be prelooted ) u might need help there,i didn't try him yet but i guess you would.

You guys are swesome and full of information. I am definitely giong to come back and start 2 mages, and level them up, probably with the help of my 65 shaman. I will either solo some enhanced minion pieces, or to get the 4 or 5 i will probably recruit some help. My next question, will I have any disadvantages by making them both dark elves? If not dark elf I would like to go human, but dark elf is my first choice.

Dark Elves are fine ...
At the high end of the game, race really does not matter.

i was just makign sure. I think i should be able to level them up pretty fast..probably a decent level in a month or so.

Actually the master race,Gnome, is the end all be all for a mage. If you want to dominate you must be a Gnomer sorry.

Not to mention we can tinker ftw!

LoL sorry,but I am tired of short races, my dwarf cleric and dwarf warrior ruined it for me .

But gnome is so much more different then filthy dwarf! And I keep an AoN on me just incase I feel like being tall once in awhile.

Or I could just start with dark elves and not have to get AoN LOL.
