You can also sic your pet on a train and then pop pet divine aura, tell him to stop, and then right as it drops hit drape. Your pet has to be alive, but he can have two broken arms and a concussion
I also used it when going through areas with lots of see invis easier mobs. Just stack them on your pet as you run through and then once you're close to your destination stop your pet and drape. Got to the body elemental for my 2.0 that way (finally getting around to doing it). They were all grey, but it was way faster and used less mana than killing them all.
Let's see:
--Convorteum, First Corruption mission. Needed to med using ooc so hit Drape. Stupid npc's getting in the way of pull messing up med abilities, used drape. Accidentally aggro'd a bellikos on the ramp, used drape.
--Convorteum, static. All the freakin' time when those stupid sermonizers get a little curious.
--Beast. Got rezzed, sent pet in, looked around and saw the last tank drop, hit drape...voila! Me, a beast and a freshly rezzed tank were all that were left standing. If it weren't for drape, it woulda been two lol
--Was running to do my favorite PG mission for a lesson burn with friends, grabbed aggro along the way, drape, continue running.
--Accidentally sent pet in with mage when I was supposed to be pulling with the bard. Used drape to save my arse and prevent a possible wipe as the mob likes to hang with his friends.
I have yet to use this to pull with because it's too tricky for that and it's 7.5 mins recast AND I have a bard to do that for me lol In a situation where I need to live, this is handy; especially if it's a wipe because then you can coh members to camp as they arrive if necessary. I use this alot, actually, and find it way more convenient and effective than CoN when the mobs aren't beating my brains in.
