I found an old post on my guild forums that I think were on the old forums re: audio triggers so I thought id repost here.

I know some of you play with out sounds, and I have no idea how you do it.

As some of you might know Im a bit of an audio trigger whore, so I thought I would post some of my audio triggers here to give you all an idea what i use them for and maybe get some more ideas.

EVENT RELATED
Death Touch

Also have specific triggers for Hatchet and Daosheen, but those are pretty boaring. Basically just a computer voice telling me what stone to click or what action to take.

this is a couple of years old, but most of them still get good use after coming back. Also added quite a few more since getting back.

i coulda sworn there was an audio trigger limit? or am i mistaken

also, theres a program out there for people who play without sound...i dont recall what it is because i dont use it, but basically its supposed to give a text pop up i guess similar to some events when you get big letters depicting when your the focus of something or something important changes.

Omg how do you remember what sound means what?
Being dense i like to use

http://www2.research.att.com/~ttsweb/tts/demo.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It tells me what to do, ex: "D S dropped", or "Click your epic" or "Gift of mana". I have a few generic ones made for make on the fly triggers like "Oh my god", or "pay attention" or my personnel fav "stuff happening".

The only time I've ever used audio triggers is when I'm on a raid that has emotes or effects that need to be dispelled immediately or need me to move away from the group.

Also, question: is there a way to turn off ALL sounds EXCEPT for audio triggers? I play on my laptop in the living room with my wife usually doing something else (such as watching TV) and a sleeping baby in the next room. I try to keep the audio down to a minimum, but it would be nice if I'm raiding to not have to get out the headphones.

I have never tested but i believe if you turn all the sound options off like combat/music/environment you "should" only have audio triggers left on.
But you'd have to test it before heading to a raid ;)
