T5 Warr merc or 81 air pet?

I Box a 82 Magician with t5 merc access and I have a 80 ranger with a t1 merc,
What would be better tanking Stact? I tryed with 2 clerics and my air pet but only get him to 30% before my pet dies.

Which focus did you use and what's your pet aa status like? Also, did you give your pet any gear above and beyond what it comes summoned with? I know the T5 warrior merc is a good tank but our pets are very variable in terms of tanking depending on aa, focus and gear.

Void c and just summoned gear. I got 50 aa and just started working n pet offence, few in defence

Use a T5 warrior merc and a T1 cleric merc. Once you get around 500 pet aa's and say a EM1 focus then lets revisit this. Also if you can get a T3 or better cleric merc that would help out a bunch.

And of those 500 AAs, make sure ALL of your pet defensive AAs are maxed out. (Durability for hps, agility for avoidance, and sturdy companion for mitigation)

I recommend blocking Complete Heal on your pet as well. That will help mitigate the big damage spikes. That said, a T5 merc will tank far better than a pet with few AAs.
