Hi all!

I am a returning member (left the game for 2 years) and since a months I started to play again and reached level 85!
But when I compare myself to other mages… I kind of such DPS en solo-ing wise!

So I am looking for some advice how other mages plays, when grouping and soloing.

The way I play at this moment:

I give my pet (Air pet for both groups and solo):

Level 71: Summon Plate of the Elements (*) Don’t have the higher level spell yet
Level 73: Summon Elemental Armaments (*) Don’t have the higher level spell yet
Level 84: Iceflame Efflux

Spells on myself:

Shield of the Void HP Buff
Empyrean Guardian Mana / Health regen

And the spell I got memmed are:

Fickle Blaze Fire DD
Shock of Discordant Steel Rk. II DD
Rain of Molten Scoria Rk. II AE DD
Deluge of Thunderbolts AE DD
Malosenea Debuff
Circle of Magmaskin DMG Shield
Burnout Pet haste / buffs
Renewal of Aenda Pet Heal

What spells do u use on yourself / pet and got memmed when soloing and grouping?

I heard also about the RS pet? Is that worth getting?

Well my mage is my second character so there alot of more informed people here than me but will give you what I do.

I like to use my mage to solo. Killing the elementals in Katta would be a good place to get your feet wet, bank some AA's and make some cash at the same time. I prefer the air pet for all around killing. I use the earth pet if I need a bit more tank. I believe the water pet is more dps if I want that option.

Yes the RS pet is very worthwhile.

No need to give your pet anything but weapons as long as you have pet focus.

Yes, get RS pet; it's a fantastic source of DPS.

Best advice (other than reading the above linked thread) is to get the highest level pet focus you can. Check with the defiant vendors in PoK; they sell a pet foci iirc.
