Just to be save stick your damage augs not on Items with detrimental foci.

yes. If you have 2 foci on the same piece of gear only one will fire.

The current type 3 are extremely restrictive to mitigate this... so you only have this "issue" where you have two foci's that would affect the same spell. SO... for example. an increased damage type 3 would conflict with an decreased mana reduction on the same item if that decreased mana reduction would affect that spell. You will only get ONE of them. It is not clear which one the code will choose, but it will only do the first one it finds.

Your best bet is to put them on items where it will be unique... say you have a generic cold focus and a type 3 that increases a fire spell. Since neither can be triggered by the same spell, you are clear of any conflicts.

If I'm understanding this correctly, this means these wont work together.

Focus: Beneficial mana pres
Type 3: EM6

Focus:Detrimential mana pres
Type3: Irae Jolt

Focus:Detrimental Range
Type3: Irae Bolt

Seems I have a lot of rearranging to do.

The first one is a "who cares" case, though, as your beneficial spells aren't going to be focused by EM6.

Well, your pet spell is a beneficial spell. So if the above statement is true and the mana pres is firing and the EM6 is not, then your pet isn't going to be focused at EM6. I suppose it's an easy test to run, but I haven't paid much attention as I wear items with EM4, EM5 and EM6.

Hmm, interesting. Looks like the only conflict I have is I have the Shock of Discordant Steel type 3 on my shoulders. Not a huge deal since I almost never use that spell anyways, but I'll put it somewhere else nonetheless.

Your Irae Annihilate might be blocked by your Detrimental range too, just glancing at your magelo.
