- They are adding a new mini game to EQ. The game uses the monster mission system but it is not a monster mission. The game is kind of like a FPS. There are 3 groups of gnolls that can be played: red, blue, and orange. You will have 2 boomerangs to throw at other players, one for each of the apposing teams. The game can be played in pvp or pve mode. You are awarded alternate currency based on your kill ranking for the game. The top three people will get another alternate currency that can be used to buy "good" items. They did not say what the rewards would be.
- There is no level cap increase for this expansion.
- The gear is targeted at level 85 toons.
- The group and raid gear will have a similar difference as in SOD and SOF.
- They are adding 13 new zones, and the zones are very big.
- They are adding a window that will let you target several targets at once. For example, a clr can put each of the tanks in this target window and use it to monitor their health. They do not have this window implemented yet, so the details are not set yet.
- They will be adding new crafted armor.
- They are adding 140 new weapon graphics.
- The release date is in November.
- They may add the 36 man hard mode raids in Underfoot if they are well received for SoD raids.
- They are adding a quest progression interface to help you track where you are in progression or other quest series. This will initially work for Underfoot only, but they plan to implement it for previous expansions. They said the oldest expansion they would be able to add to the new progression window is pop, but they may or may not go back that far.
- The mobs in the new zones currently have 257915 hp and mana.
- There will be 2 to 3 new spells per class. They are trying to add new spell concepts with the new spells.
- All raids are in instances.
- There will be an npc that holds quest items like in SoD.
- Raid access will be done similar to SOD raids.
- They will add more buff slots
- They will add more spell slots, 1 or 2.
- 1 or 2 zones will have flag requirements.
- Spells up to TBS will be researchable.
- They are looking at adding an off-line trader mode for the bazaar. It is not a guaranteed feature but they are seriously looking at implementing it.
- Visible armor will not be fractured like in SOD.
- There will be 3 different levels of difficulty for raids. All the raids are supposed to be harder than SOD raids.
- They are trying to add other merc classes with the new expansion, but this may or may not be ready in November.
Over all I think there are some nice features in this expansion.
