OK I'VE TRIED A LOT OF PLACES BUT WHERE SHOULD A 78 MAGE SOLO SINCE I CAN'T FIND A SINGLE GROUP ON POVAR LOL

Why not solo your Jonas Hand Aug? You'll get exp and a nice reward at the end.

I was not well geared back then, before defiant gear, think I soloed in dsh alot the minos and other dailes there.

Concur. Minos and the fairies around the tower were awesome spots for me at that level.

Splitpaw is also great at that level; even better at 80 when you get your new garg pet and the new gift of mana AA. I'd also recommend doing the Jonas Hand Aug quest. TBS is no longer a hotzone (last I checked at least) but the xp is still very good when you take everything into consideration.
