Robes:

I was under the impression from word of mouth that Anguish robe would be the clear cut winner in the DPs department for our pets. When I went and looked at the data, and then parsed it out it turns out SoD is the better route for us when using the same buffs, pet focus, pet, and same amount of time. All of these parses are with an EM13 Water pet, 2x ice blades, Burnout 3, Iceflame 3, Arcane Distillect 2, Back of mob, and Raid robes.

Glyphwielder's Tunic of the Summoner: 1200 sec: /tell Piemastaj Genartik -vs- Test Ninety Eight: -- DMG: 3295155 -- DPS: 2746 -- Scaled: 2746 -- Slash: 2530173 -- Backstab: 561856 -- DirDmg: 203126 -- Non-crit rate: 76.6% -- crit rate: 23.4% -- Attempts: 4075 -- Hits: 2988 -- Missed: 1087 -- Accuracy: 73.3% -- Avg Hit: 1102 -- Max hit: 5349.

Tainted Forcestrike Silk Robe: 1200sec: /tell Piemastaj Xebartik -vs- Test Ninety Eight: -- DMG: 3834099 -- DPS: 3195 -- Scaled: 3195 -- Slash: 2999372 -- Backstab: 638806 -- DirDmg: 195921 -- Non-crit rate: 76.3% -- crit rate: 23.7% -- Attempts: 4250 -- Hits: 3195 -- Missed: 1055 -- Accuracy: 75.2% -- Avg Hit: 1200 -- Max hit: 5687.

Perspicuous Robe of the Thaumaterge: 1228 sec: /tell Piemastaj Kararab -vs- Combined: Test Ninety Eight: -- DMG: 3096496 -- DPS: 2522 -- Scaled: 2522 -- Slash: 2134103 -- DirDmg: 491308 -- Backstab: 471085 -- Non-crit rate: 76.4% -- crit rate: 23.6% -- Attempts: 4184 -- Hits: 3121 -- Missed: 1063 -- Accuracy: 74.6% -- Avg Hit: 992 -- Max hit: 4193.

That is what just the pet did. When I add in the 2500 DMG per nuke for my 109 nukes over this time period, it is another 275k of DMG. Bringing the total DPs of this BP to around 2743.48. It is probably higher because the 2500 nuke DMG is added directly into my nuke which would be affected by spell DMG and such. Just a ball park for now.

If anyone is interested with the samethings above, just the regular Water pet with BO, Iceflame, Arcane, EM13.

1201 sec:/tell Piemastaj Kararab -vs- Test Ninety Eight: -- DMG: 2672999 -- DPS: 2226 -- Scaled: 2226 -- Slash: 2032021 -- Backstab: 446975 -- DirDmg: 194003 -- Non-crit rate: 74.5% -- crit rate: 25.5% -- Attempts: 3918 -- Hits: 2877 -- Missed: 1041 -- Accuracy: 73.4% -- Avg Hit: 929 -- Max hit: 4193.

It stacks with FBO and Anguish. So it would add 500ish DPS on top of those 2 abilities when you pre-buff. However it has to be your 3d choice to use just b/c nothing else is up. And it shares a timer with SOD. Thinking we try and remove the shared timer or ask for an SOD type click in VoA.

The SoD robe was unpopular because it doesn't stack with FBO. It was never a bad ability, you just had to wait a couple min into a fight before you can use it.

The SoD robe should be adding about 20k in damage. Or maybe that was the UF robe. I don't remember. Either way, the HoT robe should be adding over 30k in damage if not more. The HoT robe is good because it also stacks. Someone, or PJ, may want to rerun the parse using the HoT robe click and compare your HoT click dps to your non HoT robe click dps. Variation can still be wild so, if you have time, you might to run a 2nd or maybe even a 3rd test.

It was already added in. The nuke portion and the pet proc portion of this ability both do 2500 DMG. So doing 17 times 2500 DMG gets you 42.5k added DMG for 2 minutes or around 354 added DPS over 2 minutes. I have had it be as short as 54 seconds and as long as 112 seconds to proc all 17.

I could be misunderstanding what you mean, but it is a simple calc to figure out what it will add in. I am unsure if spell DMG applies to it because it is just an add in, so the spell DMG would have to go off the spell being cast which would be a grey area. I sent this data off to Eli btw.

The HoT robe is only good if you can pre-buff it currently. As shown, the SoD robe adds in like 500 more DPS then HoT does. Now, if we got them un-linked it would be perfect. But as of right now I would rather use my SoD robe in most cases rather then my HoT robe when I know the fight is going to run longer or my FBO will not be up.

Oh, I misunderstood your post PJ. Ngreth wanted the robes to be a fixed amount of damage. I don't think dps was his concern and he was quite adamant that it be a fixed value. To fix the dps we need to get that proc dmg bumped and Ngreth is probably the one in charge since he made the bp clicks for the last 2 expansions.

Since we are talking about it, we need to get an ability that works with the fire pet too. It's a small thing but I hate that we get so much more out of our robe click with a melee pet. It is also a bummer when you die and get up with a fire pet with FBO down and now you have nothing to boost dps with.

remember when stuff like this used to make a huge difference. like potime gear etc.? Now you can hardly notice the difference and have to use a program to see it

The mudflation is bad enough. If everything were to be so huge to notice a difference, group mob hp's would be in the billions and we'd be approaching million dmg nukes and stuff. Also, such mudflation would quickly make the previous expansion completely trivial. Small increment increases in power is good for the longevity of the game.
