Sorry, it took a long time to post my above post. Yeah, the lag with pets isn't easy, and I've discussed that with the devs too. Unfortunately, they didn't offer up any explanations to me.
I wonder if they are taking a stun/bash type affect and it isn't being reported to us. I believe I asked that but so many conversations have taken place around this issue, I can't recall exactly. I'll be rediscussing pet issues on Monday. I'll be done with school on Monday so I plan on spending a lot of my time next week pushing the devs on this issue.
Since they didn't lag on that dummy, I'm thinking raid bosses have a mech that's causing it or it's something with so much data being processed in a raid making pets take some type of back seat in processing.
Vora, you have not gotten an EM14 yet? And yes your numbers show that the pet is above what your EM12 was doing when its in a raid. However, FBO increases the pet a lot more then the 500 DPS your showing in your parses. It increases that in an instanced. It was already shown that the buffs are not broken. So, of course your pet is going to be doing more then the base, because the buffs are not in question here.
What is in question is the pet, and how it reacts to raid mobs. It is having a bad reaction when it decides to melee mobs. Lag can be a culprit, but if it is lag it has to be severside lag because on the fights in question I am personally not lagging. This issue is looking more and more like an SOE side issue then a playerside issue. We can not physically see any noticeable change as to why the pets won't attack for 12+ seconds at a time. We can see the effect behind the missing time because pet DPS/hits/attempts are all insanely lower then they were.
Like i have said though, players do not have access to the same logs that SOE does. Players are not able to diagnose issues like this when we have clearly ruled out AAs/Pets/Buffs. Those are really the only 3 things we can accurately test for SOE. The ball is in SOEs court right now. And it really is not bizaare to think SOE is not doing enough, because what they are supposedly doing now (I do not know, but I have hints and such) should have been done when I brought the issue up as a good faith thing that I have never nor would ever lie. They are reacting a month too late on this issue, and that is a problem. We are at a point where they should have done their due diligence, and are ready to start being proactive with the issue by coming and seeing it first hand. Or even if they can not line-up with a guild, ask some Mages to come to Test to find the issue.
I am also pissed off that Aristo had the good sense to put in a pet change, THEN go on vacation the very next week. Which also delayed them even starting anything with the issue. That is so dumb I cannot even describe it. Your the only person running a certain area, you plan on making a drastic change to it, and you go on vacation w/o even seeing the results. That is so illogical, and shows no thought process was made on the change. And now Elidroth is working with the players on it, not the person who made the mistake. That is so pro.

I hope it's not SoE side only. If it is, this will be hard to reproduce. I'd say that if it's Sony side, that will explain the odd peaks and valleys in the data. One day, you possibly could reach pre-patch levels, the next you fall so far down it looks like your focus is broken.
I'm looking for any other eyes and thoughts on this. If you might have some reasonable explanation, that will help when dealing with the devs and coming up with some way to reproduce (even if sporadically) the data.
It looks like something with the number of attempts the pet is making. Less attempts means less of everything related to dps.
I just double checked my Vyer's post. My pet never lagged. Largest delay was 3 seconds and that can be from any number of factors--the most likely culprit being bad range on pet misses and mob avoiding pet attacks.
So lag and/or stun/bash effects aren't it. Pets are still immune to stun too.
FWIW: I've started talking with devs working on angles and looking for possibilities. If I find anything out that they let me discuss, I'll bring it forward.
All of the signs point to this being SOE side issues. We have tested everything we can and it doesn't change the results. Certain zones simply don't allow even close to pre-patch numbers. Which means that certain instances are more bugged then others, again pointing to SOE. Vora you should see if they will visit raids, or setup something on Test to fix this. The less attempts comes from the blank patches in the pets melee.

Yeah, I think they might. Though, the "lag" may not be traditional lag and just the pet not attacking. That's the difference I've been looking at all morning; among other things.
Note: I'll be posting this elsewhere. Masks aren't on pets currently, it's being fixed with the next patch.

Sorry for the long post, but wanted to show Mages where the issue is (that we can tell). I can't really find a noticeable area where the pets line-up with blank spaces or they line-up with a lot of hits in a row. Which I think means it is effecting each pet differently, not just every pet the same or we should be seeing the same blank patches.
EDIT: But the DPS out-come was relatively even, he engaged later then me so my pet ended up at 231k vs his 206k.
