First of all Hi again

I'm finally able to play EQ once more! this time how ever Naltena will not be my main (or thats the idea for now) I'm giving up on the euro server and starting over in VOX as a few freinds from college asked me to play with them. (Yes an actual party with people can you believe that?).

I cant help but be a bit worried about them bailing so I will start 3 boxing. My first Idea was 3 mages because honestly I love the class. However I can see that a mix would be better.

What would you guys recommend? mag/nec/sham is what I did before I found the sham/nec boring as hell but hey if thats the best choice by far ill jump on that wagon again.

With mercs, I would honestly go with 2x Mage and a Bard.

You have an offtank, 2 main tanks and a buttload of ADPS/mana regen. Not to mention single pulls and CC. Plus with /melody the bard is self-sustaining. The bard will legit sit there for 10 hours and continue with the songs, you would only need to switch to activate AAs or CC when the time comes.

If you want heals, Druid will fit with us better. Ports, nuke ADPS, substantial personal ADPS and they are a great healer.

oh nice I would love to have a bard and not have to worry about him just buffing the 2 mages that I can see my self doing much more than necro/shaman/mage again. Thank you I will give this idea a try

I've been playing DRU/ENC/MAG, and have really been enjoying it. Now, I haven't been max level since 2002, so I'm just leveling and questing now, and I'm sure it's not the most optimal group, but it works very well for me, and it's very flexible.

I box a necro sham and my mage in euro server, before the sham I had a enc but besides kei I didnt know what to do with him. I have a friend that has your set up plus 2 necros she does very well too.

I'm gonna vote for mag/mag/bard

mage/bard/nec gives you additional class with huge utility and dps. I see the point of the 2 mages but you should really give the nec a try.

Mage/Wiz/Bard is pretty phenomenal.
Mage/Rng/Bard is great too.
Mage/Shm/Rng can do anything and everything. Except grant you a 3rd arm which is needed unless you're very talented.

Mag/Mag/Brd I would get bored of. But's it's near invincible.
