Amazing how much mod2s, and 242 raw AC make a diff on pets eh? hehe

Awhile back I ran parses of my pet vs a trash mob in beza. The difference between an
1. unbuffed out of the box pet
2. unbuffed defiant decked out pet
3. buffed out of the box pet
4. buffed defiant decked out pet

was pretty significant. I can't remember the exact numbers but a normal trash mob did about 30% more damage to pet 1. versus pet 2. The difference between pet 1. and pet 4. above was HUGE; something like 80% damage reduction or so. Granted a lot of that was from iceflame procs and prism skin but still it was a pretty big difference.

But the Defiant gear is attuneable and will vanish as soon as you zone/log/suspend pet.

Please post your tests and proof. I've tested this extensively and have concluded that defiant armor does not poof when you zone/log/suspend. Non-visible jewelry does poof, visible defiant armor stays with the pet until either the pet or the pet owner dies.

Defiant stuff stays as of 09/12/09.

Other attuneable stuff is iffy - you have to play around with it to figure it out.

Although with the recent "pets not coming equipped with their armor" thing I might take another look at Defiant, soon. If/when I do I will post.

on that note, if defiant gear does indeed remain on the pet, how does it work giving the defiant stuff to the pet if it has already a full set of summoned gear? I know weapons are replaced based on the haste of the weapon -- but what works for other gear? AC?

AC trumps except for weapons, where it is Delay.

I thought for weapons, it would be base damage, where the basedamage of the weapon has to be twice the amount the pet's unequipped base, otherwise it wouldn't equip them o0 AFAIK, pets dont use the weapon's delay anyways
