Cooling Chambers Question

We were hunting in cooling chamber over the last few days. I know there are dwarves on 2 seperate factions, the cooling chamber and the traitorous. We were killing the traitorous since the others are non aggro. Some of the named are on the same faction as cooling chamber mobs and you get a faction hit for killing them. My question is do you really take a faction hit or is it like Old Commonlands and Bloody Kithicor where you stay indifferent forever ? I really like having the cooling chamber mobs non aggro because it makes it much easier to set up camp for us.

The whole faction system in UF is goofy; there's a massive thread on eqforums about it now....

I'm of the opinion that killing everything really doesn't monkey up factions to the point where you'll be hosed with quest guys and trying to set up camps.
