I can assure you with 100% certaintly that it is against the NDA to reveal that you are in beta.

It's been said time and time again, by Devs, that saying "I'm in beta" is not going to get you into trouble. I've been in every beta since OoW, including EQ2.

However, we had an incident in the past where somebody cut-n-paste info from the beta board directly into a post on the mage board. This clearly IS a violation and got the mage tower into trouble. It's a very trickly process for anyone trying to admin a public board trying to keep a "beta access only" section up and not get into trouble.

Discussion for most everything will take place on the SoE Beta boards.
