Void Progressions

Post by EnigmaMaitreya »

Ok, I have been reading up on the Void Progressions and I believe I am just marginally above being confused as to the how you do it.

I think I am seeing that you do a series of missions/task's, either repeatedly or not(?) and at the end of one (or many?) of the task you will be granted access somehow to, for example Void B.

Most everything I have read, one way or another, seems to assume an underlying knowledge of how everything about the Void progressions is done.

This may be less than helpful for people returning to the game that do not have this underlying knowledge.

What I have read, on the surface, leads me to believe that I may be able to effectively solo (81 Mage, 81 Air Pet (EM4 Focused) and Cleric Merc) to Void B.

What makes me hesitant is that in general chat is has always said that it "may" be possible but unlikely. When I read what I think is require, there are 3 or 4 solo task that state level 65, 65, 70(?) and then 2 group tasks level 80(?) to be completed, with what appears to be the hard thing to do being the twelve waves of 3 mobs.

So perhaps something very simple and straight forward might be of help.

Regardless of me being able to solo my way to Void B ....

Is the path to gaining access to Void B simply performing the sequential 5 tasks, in sequence, one time each?

* Oceangreen Theme Progression

Revolves around the faction, Cirtan, Bayle's Herald.

* Sergeant Bronal Cadran #1: Man the Defenses

Quick kill of a Magus a short distance south.

* Sergeant Bronal Cadran #2: No Cure for Death

Kill 15 Bertoxxulous Cultists in Oceangreen Village.

* Captain Hiran Solo: Familiarity is the Key

A quick exploration task of Oceangreen Village.

* Captain Hiran Group #1: Stop the Contamination

Kill the invading undead that spawn around the village (a tracker helps).

* Captain Hiran Group #2: A Dread Challenger

Kill some more invading undead that spawn around the village (a tracker helps), including 2 named at the end.

Everyone starts in void a; complete any one theme in any order and you will be in void b; 2 themes void c; and so on

Progression checklist:

level 81 mage soloable merc maybe. The group tasks will in a group unless you have aa's and the Blackburrow Boss last mission in oceangreen needs two people to click at the same time so you need at least another player to help you do that.

Oceangreen:

Also if you are doing it yourself, some of the tasks will require you to do some faction work.

So I would need to add the "Beat the Boss" to my list before I gain access to Void B?

As for two people .... well I have two accounts and I have two computers, such that at any time I can have both logged in and able act as two separate entities.

If required, I could have that be a 2 box of 2 mages both at level 81 with EM4 Focus Item.

I could switch one of them to a Warrior Merc and have a Cleric Merc on the other.

So, I gather that the access to Void B is dependent on attaining the items more so than completing the task or are they one in the same thing.

I assume the suggestion that I may need to do faction work means I may need to do it to get the task?

Would this be true if I 2 boxed all of it?

Just to clarify, you only need to complete those tasks. Order does not matter, except in cases where one task is a prerequisite to request another task. Also just as a warning you don't get any kind of fanfare or notification when you complete a theme. Just zone into the void after you think you've completed the theme, and when you do a /who it will list the zone as voida, voidb, etc. If it says voidb, congrats.

Also on those oceangreen defend the village tasks, the first one you can just agro mobs as they pop and then run in circles until you get the win update. The second one you actually have to kill the waves, as the guard help fight, making it impossible to just run the mobs around.

correct for the first question. for the second part, its trival to just kill them and running them around is actually more work.
