From some testing recently I did to see if its worth using one of the DMG augs (I suspected that it was detrimental to equip a dmg aug but wanted some proof) here it was I found regarding the proc rates.Piemastaj wrote:You have proof of this? The data was acculumated in normal sessions of Xp'ing a boxed bard, so kill rate/casting rate was pretty close over both samples.
With 4 procs (weapon proc, 2 mana return proc augs and a dmg proc aug) then I saw from 843 casts (4334s of combat time) a total of 757 procs (90% proc rate).
Unequipping the dmg proc aug so just leaving the mana return augs/weapon proc then over 635 casts (3186s of combat time) I saw 502 procs (79% proc rate).
I'm guessing that if I had the Shawl on top of the 3 augs + weapon then the proc rate would approach 100%, though I still would expect it to fall a little short. Thats something I will never be able to test though as have no intention of getting the shawl.
I do think using a dmg proc aug is detimental and lowers the DPS you will do in any situation where you'll run out of mana and even if not the damage they add is insignificant in the scheme of things as even if they go off every cast and crit every proc it still only amounts to 300dps or so at most.
