Shovel of Ponz- Epic 1.0

I'm having a bit of trouble with the turn in for Shovel of Ponz. I checked Allah for the items I needed, double checked by talking to the quest-giver, Vira. She asks for:
-Shovel
-Gargolye Eye
-Ruby
-Hill Giant Toes
..But when I hand them all in, she either eats them (happened once) or gives them all back with the standard "I have no need for this, blah blah blah."

Did the quest change, or something I'm missing... It's one of the last things I have to turn in, and I'd love to finish my epic before level 80

I did it about 2 months ago and didn't have a problem. Got the Shovel from Nanjena right?

Yep, I picked it up hunting mages in Najena.

Cast identify on the shovel and make sure it identifies as "Shovel of Earth". There are other shovels that drop with the same name that don't count. You said you got it from the mages in najena, which is one of the two places you can get it (the alligators outside of cazic thule also drop them) but you may have also gotten the other shovel elsewhere and accidentally gotten them confused during the turn in. I'm just grasping at straws here really.

Thanks, Merlaina. You were right, I had the wrong shovel. I found the one that Identified as "Shovel of Earth" in my bank, and now have the Shovel of Ponz.

Also, an update! I completed the epic with the help of a Sky raid and a tracker. Finally, yay!

Not as long as the Ebil Horse is there and Track isnt a buyable ability.

Grats on the 1.0! I really wish Soe would implement the 1.0 graphics as a weapon ornamentation, available only to those who have actually completed the 1.0 (all classes). I still think the Mage 1.0 is the best looking Primary in the game.
