Bard vs Wizard to box with Mage

If you have ability to level a ranger to 85 you get HA pulls, vinelash is great for crowd control, and rangers get plenty of ac/atk buffs. Same idea as the Druid with DPS.

Well what you're supposed to do with a bard is pull, highsun the adds back to their spawn point, and then fade and pull the one that you didn't highsun. I just can't do this yet since my instrument skill for whatever is used for highsun (bass or wind, can't remember) is terrible because I PLed the bard.

Yeah, but if you listen to the rangers, HA is worthless and is garbage since it's been nerfed

My ranger buddy can pull anything. Most rangers are just pissed they can flawlessly pull across a zone.

Unnecessary. Pacify any mobs too close that will add. Start singing a low agro song like slow or snare (if you don't mind the wait). As soon as you start singing, hit fade. When the song loops, it won't break invis. This only works if you are singing a single song. When the song hits, you get aggro but are invis'd versus all other mobs along the way.

Bard pacify is capped at the same level at chanter or cleric paci, so typically the top end of the 5 level range you get it at (ie the one you get in the 81-85 level range only works on mobs up to 85). It'll work in many cases, but not all, and is especially useless to me right now since my bard is running around with my mage who is 15+ levels higher than him, thus a much lower level paci is all I have available.

However, good tips there on bard pulling. As I said I am new to the bard and still learning how to use him, so I will happily accept any other tricks/advice anyone has

Hehe.. I agree. I have been learning stuff on my bard for 2 years now and still always learning something new. The one I listed I just learned during UF lol Found out in LC when I was wondering how a bard was pulling singles out of the tunnel with the ants. Started to pull a mob with a slow, as always, then got aggro and faded. Totally forgot song was still running until my target showed up on ETW. Then read the bard forums and noticed that new bards figure that out quickly and felt retarded lol
