Ok, so as I mentioned in a post on another thread, I love this spell now. With my extensions (I think have max AA on those, but don't really recall) it lasts 9 minutes. It doesn't tick down on swings anymore, just hits, and has 48 charges. At 2088 a pop (for rk 2) this comes out as 100,224 unresistable damage for 2632 mana. That's a damage/mana ratio over 38! You can easily hit 5-6 tanks with this before a raid and ooc regen back to full between each cast, meaning you add 500K-600K damage to the total raid damage at pretty much no cost to yourself.

Even soloing it's worth keeping up on your pet for the damage/mana ratio, which far exceeds that of any of our other spells. I normally don't crit for much more than 60K with spear, and that only gives you a 22.2 damage/mana ratio. No, this spell doesn't help with burns, but for sustained damage it's pretty nice even if it doesn't show up on parses.

I molo'd with this spell during beta and always had it on my pet. It works well in that capacity. It'll eat up some mana quickly though if you are chain pulling but I think it's well worth it. It's actually saved my ass a few times lol

They finally made this spell useful. Too bad it's not viral like it was in UF beta. I still think it really should be viral even though it's very useful in it's current form I'm glad someone else is finding this spell useful besides me hehe

I refresh shadowflare on most GoM's now instead of Spear/Garg (solo). That pretty much speaks for itself, finally a short term DS that's actually useful :)

Unless it's a raid we can't use fire or ds's, I stack this veil and ds on. My raid leader is a tank, so he sees the damage done. Make it nice that the tanks know we mages are boosting them. My guild actually sees how useful mages are, we field 4-6.
