RUMOR 4...There will be new cultural armor
RUMOR 5...There will be many very good pieces of armor that are sellable
RUMOR 6...Epics 3.0 will be added
RUMOR 7...There will be many places to zone into Underfoot throughout Everquest

RUMOR 8...The wiggle method of getting into the hole will not work anymore, and the key quest will be removed meaning you must do the key quest now
Re: Underfoot rumors
I doubt all the zones will be top level but it will likely be mostly high level (guessing since no level increase and the amount of 85's vs leveling up toons)dduble07 wrote:Since many people are very exited about Underfoot there have been many rumors going around can people help me with which ones are real and which ones are fake

Again i doubt it will only be high end zones, there will likely be lower level zones so people that are not 85 will be able to enjoy the expansion. That being said i doubt if you don't have T5 group armor you'll be able to be effecient in the end zones.dduble07 wrote:RUMOR 2...You will need t5 SoD armor to even compete in Underfoot
If rumor 4 and 5 are true then 3 will be by defaultdduble07 wrote:RUMOR 3...The bazzar will become practical again
There was talk about this, seeing as there is no level increase so alot less spells to make this might be possibledduble07 wrote:RUMOR 4...There will be new cultural armor
Nothing to say heredduble07 wrote:RUMOR 5...There will be many very good pieces of armor that are sellable
I'd love to see this, but i remember a definate NO, no more Epics (takes too much work bla bla bla) from the team at the .. SOD launch was it? They might have changed their minds..dduble07 wrote:RUMOR 6...Epics 3.0 will be added
Nothing to say here.. there was always a few ways to enter the expansions.dduble07 wrote:RUMOR 7...There will be many places to zone into Underfoot throughout Everquest

Re: Underfoot rumors
Whlie I don't have any specific insider knowledge regarding the Underfoot expansion, seems to me that many of the "RUMORS" listed here are repeats of what circulates every year.
Fact is that from one expansion to the next I see raiders replacing their gear with group drops because the newer expansion's group gear is equal to or sometimes greater than what most raiders have from the previous expansion.

Don't think I have ever seen an expansion where Sony designs the conten so that ONLY people who have beat the previous expansion and are full top end raid gear need apply.dduble07 wrote: Underfoot is designed for hardcore players only it will truly be high level content

Pretty sure that I read somewhere from the Dev's that the answer to this question is not just no, but H3LL NO!!!dduble07 wrote: Epics 3.0 will be added

Re: Underfoot rumors
Cultural armor IS a definate. Elidroth said so (i think it was him, there's a forum topic about it on eqplayers.)
Epic 3.0 is never going to happen. They've said it time and time again that there's too much work that goes into it.....basically if we ever had 3.0 epics, there'd be no new expansion for that year. They'll not make that mistake.

Re: Underfoot rumors
i wish each class could do an epic aug quest for each expansion. something mildly difficult but maybe 1-2 groupable max... to get an aug to add to epics to make them comparable to gear from that expansion.
theres so many good epics out there with great graphics and especially effects that its really hard to let them go. both my high lvl twinks still use epics cause i like the way they look, but i could easily double the hp in that slot if i was to give up on the effects and the looks.
maybe every few expansions they could add a quest to get a new ornamentation for each epic to keep the look fresh...
its not only a lot of work for the dev's but its a lot of work for the players too, work that i dont wanna just shove in the bank.
also on my wish list is a trophey case. this would be a place (prolly part of your bank) where you could put stuff like mana robes/stones and your first clicky robe or your 1.0 or that blade of carnage that took you 6 months to get... they're all useless now but its hard to let them go. a trophey case could be viewable by other players through your profile (magelo, or even right clicking to inspect... or they could add 'inspect' to the new name feature they added (with the report as spam stuff). this would fee up a LOT of bankspace!
hmm maybe youd have to travel to like, the top of pok to move stuff in and out so its not just extra bank spaces? i dunno, something could be worked out im sure.

Re: Underfoot rumors
Maybe the thing to ask for is a skin type mod where you can get the EPIC LOOK as they did with the shields.
People would have the choice of upgrading to the latest expansion higher stats primary weapons then keep the new look or purchase a mold to make it look like the EPIC 2.0.
Just a thought.

Re: Underfoot rumors
Here is the info I heard from the devs at Fan Faire 2009.
The devs are seriously looking at adding off-line trading. It is not set in stone, but it is a possibility.
They are going to add some more player made items to the game, so the trade-skillers may have a new source of income. The devs acknowledged that mercs have put a strain on player money supplies, so the amount of money the average player has to spend will still be low. The new items may or may not be great income, it really depends on your server's economy.
No changes or
Make a new key quest where:
-old key still works, or
-a shortcut upgrade quest, or
-old key will be unusable
Underfoot content will pick up where SoD content left off in terms of difficulty. So Group content will likely start at Korafax difficulty and raid content will likely start at Tower difficulty.dduble07 wrote: RUMOR 1...Underfoot is designed for hardcore players only it will truly be high level content
See answer to #1. The base gear requirements will be the same as the current top zones.dduble07 wrote:RUMOR 2...You will need t5 SoD armor to even compete in Underfoot
I am not sure what you mean by this but...dduble07 wrote:RUMOR 3...The bazzar will become practical again

I think they said there would be new culture, but I did not put it in my notes so I am not sure on this.dduble07 wrote:RUMOR 4...There will be new cultural armor
Yes, they are adding new player made items to the game, but the we will have to wait and see how those items compares with other tradable items. It also depends on your server's economy.dduble07 wrote:RUMOR 5...There will be many very good pieces of armor that are sellable
No, never going to happen. The devs said it would take a significant amount of the expansions budgeted time and would leave little time for anything else. Also, they sighted the problem of limiting future equipment upgrades.dduble07 wrote:RUMOR 6...Epics 3.0 will be added
Nothing has been said other than you will be able to zone in through the hole.dduble07 wrote:RUMOR 7...There will be many places to zone into Underfoot throughout Everquest
Nothing was said at FF. I doubt they will completely remove the ability to get the key to a keyed zone. The likely options are...dduble07 wrote:RUMOR 8...The wiggle method of getting into the hole will not work anymore, and the key quest will be removed meaning you must do the key quest now
