best PP farming locations

Post by Nylrem0fTest »

Best PP farm spots I've found (as a DE)

levels 2-5: Armadillos in NRO, these guys are insane PP for their level. Their skins/teeth whatever sell for over 2g each, and are all stackable, can get several PP very quickly here.

levels 8-15: Sisters on Sister Isle in OOT. They drop Purity Belts almost every time, which vendor for over 1p each or often sell for 3-4p each to other players. As an alternate, the fire drakes in lavastorm also drop ore that vendors for over 1p each, and drop it a lot.

levels 16-22: Gargoyles on undead Isle in OOT. They drop up to 2 eyes each, which are not only needed for your focus item, but vendor for over 10p each. Plus, this is a GREAT hunting area, the skeletons on the isle are not aggressive or social, only the gargs are, so almost never get adds. The skellies ARE phers for the gargs though, so may have to kill some to get gargs to spawn.

levels 22/23-34: BY FAR the best spot for PP farming at this stage is the level 25 sisters in OOT. There are 3 sisters here that drop a sword EVERY time that vendors for over 11p each, called 'steel longsword'. One's name is Larisa, in a hut with another sister. Larisa spawn time is like 6.5 min, the other one in the hut is like 18 min or something. there is also a 3 spawn of sisters just NE of that hut Larisa is in around a fire. 2 of those sisters drop the swords as well, cant remember their names off hand, but you can see them carrying them. At 22 plus, you can split the 2 spawn of Larisa and her friend easy enough, at next pet level or with a bit of assistance, can split the 3 spawn. I bound by the porter in Freeport and used gate extensively when splitting (also great for selling the swords n porting back quick). The 3 spawn is 6.5 min repop on all of them. Be wary of the 2 roamers that roam by Larisa's hut occasionally, but easy enough to avoid/kill.

levels 34-??: Good ol' Gornit, hands down :)

When you can handle it, clear sleepers and sell all the gems/spells. The spells go for 10pp a pop, the gems for 142pp a pop, and you also get pp just looting. Generally I can make 5 to 6kpp on the clear, and takes me maybe 45 minutes tops - been doing this since level 80 or so. The downside is you get one shot at it and then have to wait several hours before repops...

I want to clear up before some people go, "What are those zone? How do you get there?" The places Foaaniel and Sven pointed out are not unlocked on the TLP servers yet.

How fast are you getting those Nylrem? I was farming the gobbies in Permafrost from 21-26. I was getting maybe a few hundred plat every couple of hours; I only saved stuff worth 1gp or more and mainly had the 4 slot 100% WR bags. If you are getting more than that at a faster rate, I'll have to check those spots out.

The swords from the 3 sisters drop every single time, if you have the bag space and enough dps to kill all 3 per spawn time (have to kill 4 every 6.5 min and the 5th one every 3rd spawn cycle pretty much) you can make 33p from the swords, probably 3-4p for the purity belts, and about 10-20p total from cash and other words/blood, they can drop up to 4p in cash each. So, about 45p or so every 6.5 minutes if you have enough dps and sell to a vendor that likes you. I personally was selling to a vendor by the FP dock that didn't especially like me, I was only getting 10.3p per sword and barely over 1p per belt and was making about 400p an hour, but it was a quick return to the mobs.

Wish I could get on and check their names now, and also the faction hits, but it's pretty much you piss off all wood elves :)

One other thing to note, the elven blood that drops from them may soon be used for the first of the cultural DE armor, which originally could be used by casters even (chain look).

And, uh, yeah... this was under the Time Locked Progression forum, kinda took it for granted people would think I was talking about those servers specifically... level 50 is top level, and is original zones only for right now.

Yeah, true that - I forgot what forum the thread was in. To be complete, then, Sleepers is part of Velious, and you probably won't be doing a full clear solo until TLP is unlocked through TBS or later, and it might not be a 45 min clear until you get a EM8 or better pet when SoD is unlocked or later.

For Progression Servers, killing tradeskill mobs like WYverns in Cobalt Scar benefit you in several ways:

1) no faction hits for non-named mobs
2) Hides are sellable in bazaar for those Tailors needing to skill up. Price varies per server.
3) Armor Gems - these tend to all sell around 40-ish PP per. get 1 stack of 1 type = 800PP. Wyverns tend to drop several types so each one is around 40 PP

I spent one day pharming hides and when I went to sell off the gems at the Otters, walked away with ~4k from gem sales alone. On a Progression server that is not too bad for vendor sellables.

Different zones and hides that you hunt will still net you gems too.
