80 Monster Summoning VI vs 76 Air Pet

Hey folks,

Firstly, thanks for this great mage resource, it has been quite helpful.

I'm trying to get to 81 for the new air pet so i can focus on AAs, but noticed we get a new MS at 80 (currently 78). Was wondering if anyone had looked into the difference in dps and survivability between it and the air pet from 76. If it's not much worse, I'd love to use it to switch things up a bit.

Also, what are the differences in abilities between the two?
