Need more activity

We need more activity around here. With all the mages out there we should have lively discussion.

Is there another resource out there or is there just nothing to talk about?

Nearing Beta, so no updates for magicians lately. Make sure to apply for beta so you can be informed of what is going on during it, those of us that do get into beta will be locked behind a NDA so you won't hear a peep for awhile. As to having a lively discussion, this usually only occurs when a issue arises that demands attention. Otherwise it occurs when a member has a idea they wish to share with the community. You being a member of the community here at The Magician's Tower, do you have any new issues or concerns that haven't already been brought up in other threads? If so lets get down to some lively discussion.

The discussion died down during the summer. Most of our big and "lively" discussions happen just after beta and continue for a few months depending on what issues there are.

Another part of the problem is they took a long time for this beta and many people have been bored with VoA for anywhere between the last 2-6 months. When people are bored of EQ, they quit or aren't very active. That means boards like this one will see a decrease in traffic.

In all, expect to see board traffic to pick up in, or over, the next 2-3 months; as beta nears it's end or RoF (the next expansion) launches.

Generally people have very little to discuss when things are going well. If you went back to last year at this time it was a completely different story (maybe a little further back, I believe around now VoA Beta was in full swing and the hate died down).

Considering the strides we made this expansion (albeit very late due to bugs), we gained roughly 45k DMG on our burns or essentially doubled our DPS since HoT. Our sustained was increased also via Elemental Union and Virulent Talon. The only issue we have is mana regen, and generally it is not seen in the raid game. You will see this much more in the group game, not to say that isn't an issue, but with OOC regen it is not as heartbreaking. That and personal survivability are our main issues going forward imho.

That is really the bottom line though imho. We are in a very positive state right now compared to previous years. We have our burst, our pets are able to withstand current content, we have mod rods for group/raid utility, and we have things in place to continue our classes progression.

So the lively discussion will die down when there is nothing to discuss really.

You all make good points. I'm looking forward to getting some more levels and being able to contribute to the end game discussions more.
