Mounts, anyone else find them annoying?

Hi all,

I was curious to know how many of you use mounts religiously? I despise them as they reduce your ability to turn quickly and manuever. I enjoy being able to positiong myself easily and not feel encumbered.

I still rock the old character models, so I rarely see mounts outside of Drakkin. Do most of you use them or do you simply run til you're OOM and then sit while in fast regen mode, rinse/repeat etc?

i hates them. Its like a giant stool that poops. Wish we didn't have to use them

I don't mind them much, but that's from a solo/boxer perspective. I really hate it when I can't use them I even use it on my puller. I've just learned to adjust to it. The only time I don't use them is when I'm soloing on my druid, and I'm basically kiting. Then it's way too much of a pain.

Though I gotta say, I really miss the old days (Luclin? PoP? somewhere in there) where you could turn on old models, so you wouldn't get a horse animation, but would get the mana regen benefit. Of course, the start/stop hesitation was associated with the animation

Depends.

I mainly use my turbo propeller, but most often just to travel around or if in a group at a static spot. If I have to do a lot of moving around then I just drop mounts. It's 50/50 if I use when soloing depending on how fast I'm burning through my mana.

Since they fixed the rate at which mounts can come to a stop, I find no encumbrance whatsoever. I love sitting on my mount.

I use one constantly. Once you get used to riding a mount it isn't all that bad.

The length of time to start and stop is what bothers me mostly, especially if I'm running and need to cast something quickly.
