Spell Damage vs Heroic Intelligence

Hey all,

I'm level 100, and re-evaluating my augments as my gear gets better (well, more current I guess!). I have a mix of virtually everything right now, since I've been picking up whatever I could from RoF. I'd like to change that more soon, with a focus towards either spell damage or heroic intelligence.

So, my question: in your opinion, is it better to choose augments with the most spell damage, or should I be looking more at heroic int? Or balance between the two? My SD is 471, and heroic int is 211 at the moment. Sorry I don't have a magelo available. I appreciate any help or explanations about this!

Most tend to go for SD because it's an instant gain and a direct boost. HInt isn't so direct and uses a very bizarre formula that is based on your total HInt. Hint does 2 things: increases your mana pool a small amount and boosts your regen.

The gains from SD exceed HInt on a point for point basis by a large margin. SD is always available and HInt is only available when your mana bar is full.
