Just a couple of points here.

Last night after High Guard Strakiv I did another fight with High Guard Stavus. Apparently the log file was so large (591,137k) gamparse didn't like reading it. I tried to open the file in notepad but it crashed notepad. Wordpad didn't crash but it took close to 30 minutes to open then only displayed up through December. Luckily my wife was able to write a script to break the file apart so I can read smaller bits of the oversize file.

When all this gets sorted out I'll post the last unbuffed stock pet. On that note I realized my formatting really stinks and could use some help in the readability department. I was about to edit my posts but can't for some reason. Is it possible to allow me to edit these posts for clarity or is an admin wiling to do it for me or should I just grin and bear it?

Edit to add: Upon further review it wasn't gamparse at all but rather EQ stopped logging. I may or may not run one more baseline parse with no gear or buffs. For now though there's reasonable amounts of information already posted to give us a general idea of what out of the box pets will do.

So this is driving me batty. Last night I gave my pet weapons and had him take out both high guards again, same two as above. However for some reason gamparse will not recognize my log regardless of what I try and do. I tried to read through the gambosoft forums and found nothing. I tried to register so I could post a question but the anti-bot code was unreadable.

Would any of you be willing to run my log through the parser if I either posted the entire thing on here or sent it as a pm?

Did you try nuking the mob? If you do not do DMG to the mob gamparse normally does not pick up any data.

Nope, I didn't realize gamparse wouldn't pick up a fight if I did no damage. Thanks for the input. I'm going to manually modify the logs and insert some itty bitty nuke to see if that helps.
