As all of you probably know by now, today is my last day here. I don't want to go into my reasons for leaving. All I can say is that I felt I was left with little choice but to go. Ten years of my life has been poured into this site. In many ways it is an extension of me. Leaving it behind is extremely hard to do.
I want to thank the Allakhazam community for everything you have done for me and for this site over the years. When my mother died, you helped me through my grief. When we adopted our daughter, you shared my happiness. I've spent nearly a quarter of my life here and it has shaped me as much as any other experience I have had.
I wish the new management nothing but success. You guys deserve nothing less.
Couple of years ago Allakhazam and IGE got into bed with each other (although both would spin it to say something else). About a month ago the bigwigs at Zam.com fired Illia; the creator/maintainer of Illia's Beastiary. Jeff (aka Allakhazam) told the head honcho's to shove it.
So now all the allakhazam.com sites are owned by somebody other than Jeff/allakhazam.....and last I checked (which was admittadly awhile ago so things might have changed) the founder of IGE; Brock Yates.
My leet (see Katie pushed buttons) skills has helped me acquire information on the current happenings. I call for war and resistance.
This is bullsh*t. Why would you screw over Illia? You think that this is going to endear you to the masses? No. Then driving out Allah? Triply not a good idea. This is war. I wont be happy until you are gone and banished from our kingdom of geekiness.
