"Decisive Blow" Killing my RS

I really hate it. I've been monkeying around in Warrens today with those Provosts and had forgotten how annoying that is.

I hope not to see it more, in Underfoot.

Could you enlighten a lowly 76 mage as to what that is? Is it like a flurry/rampage type thing that just occasionally hits really smurf hard an ignores enrage?

Sure.

I'm not a melee expert by a long shot. I don't pay attention - at all - to what they can and cannot do.

But apparently they recently got some kind of ability known as, text message on success anyway, "A Decisive Blow".

When they attack with this move and are successful it kills RS immediately. It doesn't matter where in his 3-tick life it is done. It can be at the beginning, in the middle, or at the end. It is not a spell. It is not a weapon.

I used to hang around in Korascian a lot doing the advancement, doll, and group gear stuff and was seeing it a lot there from Provosts. Other MOBs may do it too, I don't remember. I have mostly been staying out of SoD zones except to raid, for awhile now.

I went there the other day to pick up a fractured and a chromatic sheet for some young Mage so was hanging around Provost Vokk Raskk and those guys were having their way with Ranc.

It doesn't work on my regular pet. If it did, it would be very dangerous.
