Gamparse and fire pets?

Most certainly! Just realized the other day that some guildies doing the parsing are f'ing it up. The normal guy is showing me between 7-8k max but we have someone else doing it also now, maybe using a different program, and I parsed at 10k on a couple of raids so far. This week, I plan on doing my own parses to see what's up. I haven't changed anything to increase my dps by a whole 2-3k: same focii, no dps aa's (well, the new rank of firecore but 5% guaranteed increase isn't gonna move the max that much), no swarm extension aa's, etc. Besides, it was also only a difference of one week.Sillaen wrote:Not really. The thing is, if you're in a guild that uses parses to evaluate how people are doing then you have to absolutely do it yourself to make sure you are not being screwed.Bastler wrote:but the thing is that the pally parses for the guild, telling him how much I did, kinda defeats the purpose I think.
For example, we parsed a fight in Crys last night where I was parsed at 3.6K, placing me somewhere like 6th on the list. He linked it to the guild and I said that was wrong. I was parsing the fight myself and my parse was 5.3K and 1st on the list. I tapped my pet before moving in to engage and he didn't turn his logs on until we were charging up to the mobs face, so he missed all of the dps for my pet.
It's good to parse for yourself if nothing else but to keep your other parser folks in line.
The point is, there can be wild variation between toons and parse programs. Find a parse program you like, run it on yourself, compare your stats to another. Also, scaled is a better comparison. If you popped in, hit AtA once on a mob with the proc and it dropped, your parse would be 32k lol Scaled, it'd be much, much, much lower. (It's the scaling that I think is showing me at 10k because I was late to engage a mob for various reasons).
