Actually that is the exact same idea lol. The point of CoH pull is to train mobs away from a targeted area so then they stagger back and u can tag 1 mob. which is y a mobile pet generally works best.

Id be hard pressed to think anything other then a fire pet + 2 Mages = easiest coh pulls ... looks were on the same server so I can gladly show ya
