having to target yourself for it to work is way lame, biggest reason i can see for using pet fade would be, jober is agro'd on mobs a couple rooms over and you have a couple mobs on you, fade pet so you can summon it to you to help out. But, if your in trouble and have to waste time making sure your targeted for it to work sucks. (i know i know it doesnt take that long to target yourself, but still :P)

Try this one on for size...

Nuking happily away at a raid target and you decide to fade pet to make sure that none of those nice hate list mechanisms are getting messed up by your pet being higher on the list than the tank. Wouldn't want directional AEs to be pointed the wrong way! You fade and discover that both you AND your pet were above the tank, but now the pet is not. Summon, squish, gratz dirt nap.

hahahahahaha (on both of those)

BTW, there is a cast time, so you have to target yourself then wait for the cast.

If this were pet-pull I could definitely live with that.

But it isn't.

I'm guessing Elidroth noticed necros had a pet feign ability, thought 'hey, mages have pets too!' and threw it at us thinking it'd be a good idea. Completely useless without some way to drop our agro as well.

BTW, I like that shell. I never use Earthen due to the diminishing returns (it was amazing at launch).

Haha that's a problem for Gnomes, eh? Taller races have another methodology.

*shocked face*

I'll say no more... say no more. Wot wot.

I actually suggested it in the aa thread he starred over on soe's class boards.

I prefaced it with being a gate way aa to 2nd suspend or pet swap since you probly wouldn't be able to do that with aggro.

Yeah, big difference between pet swap and pet fade :P I hope Elidroth isn't that stupid.
