Level 85 Group exp?

So where do you guys go to get exp at level 85? I'm playing on the progression server and the best exp I've seen was 3.5 AA's in a lessons in Mech Guardian.

There surely must be something better out there! I realize I'm probably playing with a party which doesn't have the best gear....but this is rather rediculous, heh.....

I don't group very often anymore so couldn't tell you. I especially don't group when I'm burning my lesson. I net just shy of 6 AA's solo in Katta on a lesson burn if I'm not lazing.

As far as what I've heard, AE killing at the top of MG was supposedly the best place for group grinding AAs so I guess you're already at the pinnacle, just need to go faster. /shrug

For grouping MG is one of the better spots you'll find. You could try Zeka (regular in instance) or SHIP or even Thallassius but sadly I doubt your aaxp gains will be much better.

Have you thought about doing lesson burns solo for aaxp then regular grouping with your friends seperately for social reasons?

Something you may try is run a parser to see who is pulling their weight and who may be slacking. Changing tactics can also help with xp grinds. If you have a real healer (as opposed to a merc healer) have them nuke or dot. It's more efficient to burn through all your mana then ooc regen several times throughout a lesson burn than it is to keep everybody's mana at say 60% or so throughout the lesson burn.

You might change things up a bit so that everybody in your group starts at full mana/endurance and burns through it in 7 minutes......sit and do OOC regen for 3 minutes.....burn through it all again in 7 minutes.....sit and do OOC regen for another 3 minutes.....burn hard for 7 minutes and wrap up your lesson burn. Have your healers nuke as much as they can while maintaining enough mana just in case of an accidental double/triple pull. Calculate what your groups best damage to mana ratio is and focus on that. For instance, if your group is you (mage I assume), sk, shaman, necro, necro, necro then for gods sake get your butt to an undead zone. If it's you, four other mages and a cleric merc figure out who's slacking in your group and teach them how to use their mana better.

I get about 8-9 aa's in DSH doing brownies. Can get 10 if I really pay attention, and have full run of the entire brownie area.

My lvl 85, 450 AA Enc makes 15 AA in 3 classics. Boring yeah, but if you have a good run with invis duration its 90 min. And the equipment is better then T3 SOD.

Problem is when you get out of the bonus aa stage (1250 aa's and up) that 5aa's per classic drops to a paltry 2.

I still do Mech Guardian and it's excellent XP. I'll usually PL one of my alts to get them some free XP as well.

You are getting that there at 85 with 3k AA - must pay a return visit to my little friends, used to get great AAXp there, but it sort of fell of my radar once I got out of my 70s.

Well i haven't played for exp in a long time. Most nights i forget to use lesson, but last night i thought i'd use it mostly because of this thread.

East farm pulling for named not for exp, so alot of CoTHing to get the PHers.

I poped lesson, had 5 AA banked. Didn't bother to tell the group that i did and puller didn't use his (Had him targeted most of the time to CoTH), so pulling didn't speed up because of Lesson.

Ended the lesson with 12aas (pinged 12th 2 secs after lesson ended, i count it as in lesson, you might not) So 7aas in Arth. including 3 names and 1 death. So if you go in with Lesson burn in mind and chain pull i'd bet 12 to 15aas could be doable.

Mobs give between 20% (blue con)to 30% (yellow con) per kill on avg.
