Looking for a Secondary

Hiya all,

So I've hit 71, going to grind out a few more AAs (317 now). Just got my 1.5, so the next slot I'm looking for an upgrade to is my secondary.

Currently I'm using an Orb of Infinite Terror, and as a backup (for the click occasionally) I have Shield of Auras. Both of which were pretty cool when I got them, but not so much anymore, it seems.

Any suggestions for what to go looking for? I mainly solo or duo with another mage, so group, solo or quest gear that should last me at least the next 5-10 levels would be what I'm looking for.

Just doing a quick search on Allakhazam, here's what look like likely candidates to me:
Web of Flies or Swarm Shield (drop from the same mob)
Battered Gnoll Shield
Or you could always go for the Elegant Defiant Buckler

The last one you should be able to find in the bazaar fairly cheap. The other options you might be able to find in the bazaar, but otherwise you'll have to do some mob camping. I suggest a shield over some non-shield secondary since the AC from shields aren't affected by the soft cap, plus they allow you to use the shield block AA.

Finally, look into at least starting the Bayle's Heraldic Crest quest line. Doing all those tasks will give a good bump to your Cirtan, Bayle's Herald (oceangreen) faction standing, plus it's one of the few good augs with AC that you can fit into a shield. AC normally doesn't affect us much, but I always keep an eye out for ways to raise my shield AC.

My only concern with those is that I may not be able to do them at 71. Alla seems to say 80 as recommended level to get them. Admittedly I like to push the envelope, but will 2 71 mages and a couple of healer mercs be able to realistically get any of those first 3 shields?

I kinda doubt two 71 mages and cleric mercs could do the first one, but maybe the blackburrow one would be possible. It only drops in instances, so you'd have to do all the prereqs to get those tasks. I listed those in particular though since they are tradeable, so assuming someone has them for sale you can get them in the bazaar.
