RS sort of twincasting?

So I was raiding last night and I noticed two really small damage amounts in my spell damage window. Not that it really matters, but does the damage portion of RS ever twincast? Or did I cast RS and have a really substantial resist on my next spell that only did 2 damage? Unfortunately I don't have a log to go with this.

Yes, the damage portion can twincast, but you won't get 2 pets.
