Shrouding

anyone know much about it? Is it as fast as soloing or more interesting?

Not really, no and no.

I know 3 reasons mentioned to use shrouds.

1. To play with lower level friends. This is rarely used, and I haven’t ever done it.

2. To use some special utilities.
a, you can feign death with a rogue shroud
b, you can pick lock with several shrouds
c, you can charm with an enchanter shroud. (Very handy if you do the OT hammer quest)
d, there are many utility spells available, sow, clarity, hp buff and so on.

3. There have been several ideas that you in some circumstances can gain more xp in shroud form. Sony doesn’t like this and nerf the shrouding as soon as players discover new ways to misuse the shrouding.
