There was an article about this place in Wired magazine 8-9 years ago. Very entertaining read. It was also right around the time Neil Stephenson's book Cryptonomicon came out, which dealt with the creation of a data haven by a character with a very similar name as one of the Sealand people (or maybe it was one of the HavenCo people, I don't remember).

Anyway, the whole place definitely has some romance to it. Steal and AA gun platform, call it your own sovereign nation, have your son kidnapped and then rescue him by flying in on helicopter guns blazing. Good times.
