Pegasus Mount

I'm sure some will say I'm just hating, but I'm kinda disappointed that the mount we have been asking for since the dawn of ficken time will be given to paladins and SKs. They'll be tossing some in the marketplace as well. LAME.

What design do you feel should be made that is more magely?

PS. I believe the SK's and Pallies have been asking for these longer than we have. With Pallies, it has been a long standing joke since mounts were introduced in SoL.

Well, we've been joking around with this even before mounts were introduced saying it would be cool to be able to have Quillmane to ride around on, mainly for the headache of epic 1.0 if you did it back when it was introduced.... Older school mages would remember this. Now, I don't know how long pallies/SK have been asking for this but I know we've been talking about this for as long as Quillmane has been in the game. Back in those days it wasn't possible, then after mounts were introduced it still wasn't possible and deemed not magely. Now that it's possible, I guess it's still not magely, even though I don't see it as been pally or SKly either, but I guess anyone can get a version of one in the marketplace.

Would have been cool for mages to get though since it has always been basically our idea.

I think the last time someone made a comment about a mount AA the devs mentioned something about it only ever going to SK's and Pally's as some class something or other. /sadface

And it really pisses me off that this wasn't supposed to be possible as a mount but here they are.

At least you can have one if you have the RL$ for it, so that's some consolation...i guess.

Well, the "flying mount" thing was made possible in SoD with the emporer's mount - prior to that code change they didn't have the capability of a flying mount. Once that was done it was only a matter of time, though, before peg style mounts were added. In fact, I am surprised it took em this long as we have had a whole bunch of flying mounts added since that point. At least they did it in such a way that everyone who wants one has some way to get it as opposed to burying it in a raid as a bonus drop.

Given the collective memory of the devs only goes back a few releases at best given the turnover and such, I doubt any of them even recall mages asking for pegs, and besides the whole "not magely" thing is a smokescreen anyhow. Which mount in the game IS magely if you really get down to it? There are no elementals that are mounts - they should give us a chariot or something pulled by air elemental as that would be the only "magely" thing...without that, summoning something like one of the peg types really is the only thing that would fit if you say they are extra-planar or whatever...

No matter, it's hard for me to get too worked up about peg mounts when there are so so many other issues affecting our class...

No, I wasn't referring to the flying thing. They said no because of the wings and the pc's on the mount made it a no go.

Ah. Well wings on a mount came in at the same time as the flying - even without the emp's flying mount in SOD that expansion had those goofy non-flying but winged Sokokar mounts.
