Pet DA & Shared Health AA

Has anyone tried to impart the Pet DA upon themself, when the mob is attacking you by clicking Shared Health AA ?

I have not had the opportunity to try this yet. Sounds like it would be fun to tank a bad arse RED con mob or higher this way for the 14 second timer on Pet DA if it works.
