Raiding Mage Parses
Re: Raiding Mage Parses
Well on tonite's raid in 107 seconds I did 1 million damage on Fippy at 9333dps. Not sure how that stacks up to the other mages but its probably decent.
Re: Raiding Mage Parses
Mindshear is a rough one for all casters anyway because he's so resistant, and there is a mana drain involved as well (not TOO hard to resist, but if it does land that's 4500 mana gone). I can't recall seeing a mage or wizzie even place on that parse when we do it.Zacatac wrote: I've parsed things like Pallo, but it is such a long fight with stops and starts that you really just go by total damage done rather than "dps". We had a monk post the final mob in Mindshear event parse where the 4 monks were in the top of list because all the casters were low on mana by the time we get to that point. Unless I pop Staunch AA I can't compete with only 25% mana to start out.
Pallorax is a fun one because it's a good endurance event, and one that mages usually parse well on compared to other classes. I usually parse out around 4500 dps, which sounds bad, but in my guild at least that's usually around the top parse for the event.
Crystal core is a good one to parse, though yes, there is mob switching depending on how you do it. I've heard some guilds say they only get one wave near the end, and they just mez them until the event is over, in which case you can burn on the named the whole time.

Brath: In 251 seconds I did 2113030 DMG @ 8418 DPS.
Fippy: In 77 seconds I did 851836 DMG @ 11063 DPS.
Brath I didn't get an enc because of the event, but iirc I had a shammy so my pet had some proc action goin on.
Fippy I had an enc.

Re: Raiding Mage Parses
Oh okay so that is just 1 stage.. Which stage exactly?? Last is best for burn so that one? Gonna parse the next time we do it.. which should be in a couple of days
Re: Raiding Mage Parses
My guild mezzes adds and burns the named. If your guild does it this way, it's a very good parse event.Zacatac wrote:Any event where you are switching to the adds and back to named all the time doesn't parse so well.svenalo wrote:Crystal Core is a good one to parse the named...
Re: Raiding Mage Parses
In my guild, melees stay on named and casters kills Nexionants, then AE the rest. Not a good one for us.Voragath wrote:My guild mezzes adds and burns the named. Re: Raiding Mage Parses
Best I have gotten on Pallo was a bit over 11k, but that night I had full support of a bard, chaneter, etc) plus click Kiss and did Staunch as we weren't doing any other events that might need those for a few days after. I believe I had a 90 to fire focus on that one. It was a rather long fight as well instead of the short one it usually was (hence why I was using the kiss and staunch and so on).
Crystal Core named burn was usually in the 10-11k when we did it if I had full support...7-8kish if not. I had a 85 to fire focus then.
For Fippy across the 4 phases our caster participate in (we med through phase 2), I generally average around 7k on the parses, but I almost never have support/boosters (ie bard etc). This is with a 10-90 fire focus off the cultural wrist augment.
Group makeup in our guild is an issue, though, when it comes to casters...they focus on melee support far more than caster support for whatever reason.

Re: Raiding Mage Parses
You cheat in Tower raids Sued because you actually stay awake the whole time. Well ok maybe not the whole time but during the burn phase

Ok, so this is the pre-Tower geared mage doing Crystal Core (and I have to switch to the adds when they pop).
Crystalline Tyranont in 477s --- Zacatac + pets 2644k @5555dps
Now because this is a long parse and I'm switching to adds, I went back in and pulled just the last section of fight (after the last wave had spawned).
